Noel Gallagher is an English musician, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as the primary songwriter and lead guitarist for the rock band Oasis. Born on May 29, 1967, in Manchester, he formed Oasis in 1991 with his brother Liam Gallagher, who served as the lead singer. Noel’s songwriting, characterized by anthemic, melodic rock and introspective lyrics, helped define Britpop in the 1990s. Hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova” cemented Oasis as one of the era’s most influential bands. After leaving Oasis in 2009 due to tensions with Liam, Noel founded his own band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, continuing his success with a distinctive sound blending rock, pop, and psychedelia. Gallagher’s music, humor, and outspoken personality have made him a prominent figure in British music.
